The first government high school in the Chhindwara city MP

 The first government high school in the city of Chhindwara was opened in the year 1911

Education temples were established in Chhindwara city only in the first half of the eighteenth century. Small schools started operating. Education up to primary and middle school was then given. The first government high school of Chhindwara city was established on 11 July 1911.

When girls were not allowed to leave the house, boys and girls used to study together in this school. Co-education was conducted in a government school for almost 52 years. After the start of Girls School in the year 1962, the girls stopped taking admission here. After that, the high school started to be operated only as a boys' school.

The specialty is that late Pandit Vishambhar Nath Pandey, Member of Parliament and Governor, also got an education in this school. Devilal Sharma, a student here, and Vijay Patni, were ministers in the Madhya Pradesh government. Not only this, the students who got an education here also succeeded in achieving administrative high posts.

Growth over time-

Government high school status gradually increased. In the year 1955, it was given the status of Higher Secondary from High School. Just a year later, it got the status of Multipurpose Model Higher Secondary School. The school, which has been recognized as a multipurpose higher secondary school for many years, is now known as an Excellent school. Classes from class 9th to 12th are conducted in an Excellent school.
