The first primary school in Chhindwara city was opened in Chhota Bazar 

The first school in the city was established in the Chhota Bazar of Chhindwara city, just next to the Bada Mata temple. The first primary school was established here. Students studying in this school, established in the 18th century, held prestigious positions. PS Mission Chhoti Bazar was established in 1989.

Swedish Mission started school here. Earlier this institution was operated outside the city of Chhindwara ie Chandangon.

This school started in the year 1879 in the Chhoti Bazar area. This school was started with the aim of primary education. In this school, continuous teaching work was done for the last few years. Whereas a few years ago, the Institute building was shifted to another committee.

"ELC in MP" continued to run this institution. Later, the said institution started operating educational institutions at many places in the city of Chhindwara. During the British period, the institution played an important role in promoting education.

The building of the first primary school operated in Chhoti Bazar of Chhindwara city was built in a 375 square meter area. Which is still told in the status quo today. The special thing is that at the time when this school started, it was limited to the Chhoti Bazar in and around Chhindwara city.

Educational institutions also started with the expansion of the city in the 19th century. The first high school in Chhindwara city started in the year 1911. After this, educational institutions developed continuously. After school, college is now also known as Chhindwara University.
