ELC chowk is a very prominent and centrally located place of chhindwara city. This chowk is also known as Chhatrapati Shivaji Chowk. A very beautiful and magnificent statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji has been installed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Chowk ELC Chhindwara. The Red Fort shape has been built just behind the Shivaji statue. Its view looks very beautiful. We also call it the Red Fort of our city of Chhindwara.

At Chhatrapati Shivaji Chowk in Chhindwara, the statue of Shivaji Maharaj sitting on a horse has been installed along with the replica of the Red Fort. The idol of Chhatrapati Shiva Ji Maharaj is very impressive and the main center of attraction. The backdrop of the fort adds to its beauty and grandeur.

The Municipal Corporation has tried to decorate this square on the lines of metropolitan cities. Very beautiful lighting has been done here, which makes this place even more attractive at night. A small garden has also been built in the square around the Shivaji statue, which makes it even more beautiful. Just behind this is Ekta Park. It has Congress building on its right side and on its left side is the route to Badvan. There are many very big and old banyan trees on this route, these banyan trees are many 100 years old. There is a PWD rest house near this chowk.

There is also a bus stop point near this chowk. From here you can easily get a bus to go to Nagpur. There are also street food shops around this square. From where you can enjoy delicious food items.

Whenever we talk of brave mighty kings, the first name on our tongue comes from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Who after the arrival of the Mughals gave a new life to the Hindu and Maratha culture in the country. Shivaji Maharaj was very intelligent, brave, fearless, most powerful, brave, and a very skilled ruler and strategist.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born on 19 February 1630 in the hill fort of Shivneri near Junnar town in Pune district. His father's name was Shahji Bhosle and his mother's name was Jijabai. His mother instilled in him a sense of patriotism and moral character since childhood, due to which Shivaji Maharaj was successful in achieving his life's objectives and laid the foundation of the Maratha Empire by defeating many legendary Mughal Nizams. His devotion and obedience to Mother Jijabai prove him to be an ideal son. Shivaji Maharaj was married to Saibai Nimbalkar on 14 May 1640 in Lal Mahal, Pune. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was a great patriot of India and was also a skilled administrator. Grandfather Kondeva also had a special contribution in nurturing Shivaji's talent. He gave both military and administrative education to Shivaji. Sant Ramdas was the spiritual teacher of Shivaji. With the help of his brave and patriotic soldiers, Shivaji was successful in establishing authority over his territories like Javali, Rohila, Junnar, Konkan, Kalyani, etc. After conquering Pratapgarh and Raigad forts, he made Raigad the capital of the Maratha kingdom. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj laid the foundation of the Maratha Empire in 1674. The book "Ganimi Kawa" has been written about Shivaji Maharaj, which contains many stories of a sudden attack on his enemy. Shivaji died in April 1680 after being ill for three consecutive weeks. The birth anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj is celebrated on 15 March every year.
His life not only inspires people to move forward but also ignites the spirit of patriotism. The stories of the bravery of Shivaji Maharaj still fill people with enthusiasm. Many such facts sometimes seem like a story but are true. He was such a brave ruler who had Three hundred forts and a huge army of about One lakh soldiers and he took great care of his army. Shivaji's intellect was very practical, he was very aware of the immediate social, religious, and cultural conditions. His aimed to protect the Hindu religion, cows, and Brahmins. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj did many things for the salvation of Hindus. This is the reason why those who believe in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj worship him like a god.
