Param Santosh Shree Lakshmi Narayan Mandir-
A very attractive idol of Lakshmiji and Lord Shree Narayan is installed in Param Santosh Shree Lakshmi Narayan Temple. The idol is very beautiful, attractive, and huge. Lord is seated on the lotus flower and there is also Sheshnag. Garuda is enshrined in front of the idol of the Lord.
According to Hindu beliefs, Garuda is the king of birds and the vehicle of Lord Vishnu. Garuda is also known by the names Vinayaka, Garutmat, Tarakshaya, Vanteya, Nagantaka, Vishnuratha, Khageshwar, Suparna, and Pannagashan. Garuda is the son of Kashyap Rishi and his wife Vinata and is the brother of Aruna, who is the charioteer of Suryanarayana.
Along with the temple of Lord Lakshmi-Narayan at Param Santosh Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple, more temples have been built in the temple courtyard. There are temples of Lord Lakshmi-Narayan, Lord Shiva Family, Lord Rama's temple, Lord Laddu Gopal, Lord Krishna, Sai Baba, Shani Bhagwan's temple, and Goddess Kali, etc. All the idols installed in the temple are very beautiful and attractive.
This temple is a very old temple of Chhindwara city. Where your mind gets immense peace. Special worship is done in every festival especially Gyaras. The beautiful decoration is also done in the temple. We feel at peace here. There is a very devotional atmosphere here.
Every day devotees come to the temple to have the darshan of the Lord. But Thursday is the day of Lord Vishnu, so every Thursday there is a special crowd of devotees in the temple. Every Thursday there is a special aarti of the Lord which is attended by a large number of people. Mahaprasad is distributed after the aarti. Devotees in large numbers take prasad after having darshan of the Lord.
Shankarji is seated in the temple with Mata Parvati and Ganesha. There is also a Shivling in this temple.
Also, more temples have been built in the courtyard of this temple. In which the attractive idols of Kali Mata, Laddu Gopal Bhagwan, Ramji, Sita Mata Lashmanji, Sai Baba are installed.
There is also an idol of Shani Dev which has been installed along with the Navagraha. Every Saturday a large number of people come and offer prayers.
When we enter through the main gate of the temple, the first thing we see is the idol of Kamadhenu Mata.
On the day of Jagannath Rath Yatra, when Lord Jagannath along with his sister Subhadra and brother Balabhadra sets out to meet the devotees and visit the city. then this Rath Yatra comes to this temple and leaves again after the aarti.
Param Santosh Shree Laxmi Narayan Mandir Town Hall organizes special events during all the festivals that happen throughout the year. The temple courtyard is also big. There is a provision of benches to sit in the temple premises. Proper arrangements for drinking water have also been made.
