Salman Khan in Chhindwara 2009
Film actor Salman Khan addressed poll meetings and conducted road shows in support of the Union Minister for Commerce and Industries and Congress candidate from Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat, Kamal Nath.
Salman Khan came to Chhindwara in 2009 with Kamal Nath and Nakulnath. He had arrived by a special aircraft. He did many road shows with Kamal Nath. When Salman Khan came to Chhindwara, a large number of residents of Chhindwara had come to see Salman Khan. There was a different enthusiasm among Salman Khan and the residents of Chhindwara city. There was a lot of enthusiasm especially among the youth. A large number of people had also come from nearby villages to see Salman Khan. Everyone wanted to get a look of Salman Khan. Many people were also looking forward to taking photos with him. The police and volunteers had to work very hard to control such a huge crowd. He addressed the people at Dussehra Maidan (Pola Ground) of the chhindwara city. The people of the city will never forget the memories of Salman Khan's arrival in Chhindwara.

He raised the enthusiasm of the crowd standing on both sides of the road by waving hands. After Parasia, he addressed election meetings in favor of Kamal Nath in Damua, Amarwada, Chaurai, Pandhurna and Sausar and appealed to the people to ensure Kamal Nath's victory with full votes. Many Congress leaders were present with him on this occasion.
