 Corn festival of Chhindwara is giving a new identity to Corn

Corn Festival Chhindwara-

Corn Festival was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Honorable Shri Kamal Nath. Despite the rain, there was great enthusiasm among the people and around 2 to 2.5 lakh people attended the event. The country's first two-day "Corn Festival" was launched in Corn City Chhindwara.

The festival also held technical knowledge related to Corn, Exhibition, Bollywood night, Industrial possibilities, Fashion shows, Cultural events. Not only this, but stalls of corn dishes were also decorated. National and International level Agricultural Scientists came here to make farmers aware of the technology. There was a gathering of investors and editor entrepreneurs to encourage the consumption of corn, in addition to the district, lakhs of farmers and common people gathered from all over the state.

Why Chhindwara is special-

Chhindwara of Madhya Pradesh is number one in the Corn growing state. Since the Corn Festival, Chhindwara is famous as 'Corn City'. Quality Corn is being produced here for the last few years. There is also a corn research center in Chhindwara, in which the work of finding new varieties continues. Chhindwara has invented 9 new varieties of Corn. Therefore, efforts are being made to benefit the farmers more. Chhindwara is the largest Corn growing district in Madhya Pradesh as well as among the leading districts of the country. It was once identified with soybean, today the same district is known all over the country for corn production. Hence Chhindwara is also known as 'Corn City'.

Armaan Malik's concert at Corn Festival Chhindwara-

Armaan Malik's live concert took place at the Corn Festival. Armaan Malik is a prominent singer and actor in the film industry. Armaan Malik made the evening beautiful and memorable. People also enjoyed the taste along with the music. Along with the songs of Armaan Malik, people also tasted more than 100 dishes made from maize. Armaan Malik's show became memorable.

Exhibition of Seed Fertilizer and Agricultural Equipment-

More than 120 seeds of international and national companies fertilizer pesticide items were exhibited at the Corn Festival. Apart from this, Agricultural Machinery, Micro-Irrigation equipment, Tractors, and other modern equipment and machinery were also demonstrated.

A glimpse of culture with entertainment at the Corn Festival-

FDDI and CII, who have proved the identity of Chhindwara district, gave a unique presentation under Indian culture in this wonderful corn festival of the country.

Another highlight of Corn Festival best painting competition-

More than two and a half lacks children made a world record by making paintings, out of which 12 best paintings were included in a calendar which was launched by Chief Minister Kamal Nath. 10,000 paintings were also displayed on the walls of the main program hall.

As soon as we enter Chhindwara, Every square and street Corn Festival k cutouts and hoardings are showcasing the grandeur of the program.

The two-day event was attended by regional artists including Fashion Show, Jewelry Making Competition, Bollywood Music Night, Solo Dance, Group Dance, Music Competition, and Local.

There were many stalls in the festival where there were various recipes of corn from indigenous style as well as well known companies.

Corn is used in four ways. Its animal food especially poultry feed is made. Popular food ingredients like corn flakes are made. Corn flakes have now been included in the morning breakfast. It is also consumed as grain and has industrial use. Low water and low cost lead to a good harvest. Corn is rich in nutrients. It tolerates the dangers of climate change. Corn is rich in nutrients. It contains 71 percent starch, 9 to 10 percent protein, 4 to 45 percent fat, 9 to 10 percent fiber, 2 to 3 percent sugar, and 1.4 percent mineral.

A stage for talent and their evaluation- 

Various events were organized in the festival with the aim of self-assessing the talents of the state including Chhindwara, under which events like drawing, painting, corn-based dishes competition, adventure, kite festival, selfie point including hot air balloon were organized. A large number of townspeople arrived to enjoy the hot air balloon.

Events at 5 Dome-

Five different domes and pandals were built at the venue. Farmers Scientist and Agriculture Department staff interacted in Knowledge Dome, in which discussion of international level scientists was held. Artists from local and regional regions have presented regional culture in the Cultural Dome. Exhibition Dome showcased farming techniques and other farming-related techniques. More than 100 corn-based dishes were sold in the food zone, in which several stalls were set up. Music night of famous Bollywood singer and artist Armaan Malik was also organized.

Entrepreneurs, Scientists, Starters, and Farmers get a chance to come on stage during the Corn Festival. The government was also present with entrepreneurs, scientists, starters, and farmers at the Corn Festival held at Police Ground in December 2019. All sides expressed their views. This was the first time in the presence of the government, everyone churned on the production of corn and how to consume it. In conclusion, there was a decisive discussion on the marketing of sweet corn, the establishment of a food processing unit and the production of all kinds of corn related products as well as the storage of produce. Other ministers of the state government, including the then Chief Minister Kamal Nath and MP Nakul Nath, decided that by making a special policy on corn, farmers will be given maximum benefits. The program was made grander than in 2018.

Chhindwara has got a new identity as Corn City-

It was being organized at the district level for 2 consecutive years, in which a large number of farmers from not only Chhindwara but also from the surrounding districts come to participate in this festival. Every year in organizing Corn festival, farmers get an opportunity to get acquainted with the new techniques of corn. Locals also enjoy corn dishes. During this event, there is a festive atmosphere in the city.

The farmers benefit directly from the Corn Festival. Farmers are not only able to talk about the production and cost of their crops and the market, but they also get more benefits from being a local industry. Along with this, young entrepreneurs, startups, businessmen, food dishes manufacturers, researchers, and companies related to food industries directly benefit.

 Suspense at Corn Festival- 

Eclipse on this big event of the district- Due to Corona infection, events have been banned for the past several months, during this Corona transition period, the Corn Festival, which is considered the identity of the district, will not be held this time.
