Gurudwara was built in Chhindwara city before independence

The Gurudwara located on Station Road in Chhindwara city was built before the independence of the country. The grandeur of this Gurudwara attracts everyone. This Gurudwara was built in the year 1928.

Many social changes had begun during the First World War. Gradually people started moving to other states for their livelihood. At that time, the people of the Sikh and Punjabi community from the northwest provinces of the country started living here. The people of this community also came on railway appointments.

Along with the Gurudwara located on the station road, there is a Gurudwara of Valmiki Samaj in Khirka Mohalla in Chhindwara city. Also, there is a Gurudwara of Sindhi Panchayat in Mohan Nagar Chhindwara.

Gurdwara built in Chhindwara-

Those who settled here built the Gurudwara with the cooperation of all. The Gurudwara was built in the year 1928. This date was mentioned in the establishment premises in the old building of the Gurudwara.

Organizing programs on Prakash Parv in Gurdwara of Chhindwara-

Prakash Parv, the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the first Guru of Sikhs, is celebrated with great fervour in the city of Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh. On this occasion, various programs are organized at the Gurudwara located on Station Road. Gurubani is heard in the gurudwara. The attractive light decoration is done in the Gurudwara on Station Road. On the occasion of Prakash Parv, various programs including special Kirtan Diwan are organized in the Gurdwara.
                        All the devotees of the Sikh community visit the Gurudwara during this festival. Special Kirtan Durbar is decorated in the Gurudwara situated on the station road on the light festival of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

                        On the occasion of the Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev, a huge Sikh Sangat is taken out by Sikh religions. Religious scriptures about Guru Nanak Dev are read throughout the procession. Besides, Sikh martial art are demonstrated during the procession.

The langar is also organized in the Gurudwara. Thousands of devotees receive prasad on the langar. On the occasion of Prakash Parv, Path, and Kirtan are done in the gurudwara. Aarti is performed in the evening.
